ISLAMABAD: The doctors at Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS) at last got first achievement in the treatment of two ‘solar kids’ after day in and day out for almost 10 days. Both the kids are moving towards recovery and now they behave like normal children even after the sunset. At night they keep busy in playing with the doctors and other paramedical staff. The panel consisting of 13 medical experts and senior doctors have conducted almost 350 clinical tests and they tried a medicine for two days on these children after that the solar kids are leading normal life in the night. The doctors stopped giving the peculiar medicine on Sunday after their condition is improving, however the medical panel is keeping the children under strict observation for 24 hours. The research accomplished by the team of doctors revealed that these children became inactive after sunset due to fatigue and they were not able to eat and speak as they were suffering from nervous weakness and combining of veins. When Daily Times asked the Vice Chancellor of Shaheed Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto Medical University, Dr Javed Ikram said that the treatment of these children was on experimental basis. “Soon we would publicize good news in which we would not only name the odd disease but tell the world about its treatment”, he added. When this reporter asked the father of these children, Muhammad Hashim he said that by the grace of Allah the treatment of his children is continue and he is quite satisfied with it. He hoped that very soon his children would be cured completely. Some 10 days ago two real brother from Khuzdar, Baluchistan were shifted to PIMS.
