Sir: World thalassemia day is held on May 8th every year to raise awareness about thalassemia disease, its precautionary measures, and knowledge about steps to prevent the spread of it among people around the world. This day is observed to encourage those who are struggling to live with this disease. This day is a remembrance of all patients suffering from thalassemia and their parents who have never lost their hope of life.
