Punjab Addl IG Operations Inam Ghani said that the police department is committed by day and night to protecting wealth and lives of people and supremacy of law along with improving public service delivery. He said that available resources are being utilised to promote modern policing and investigation methods and actions are being promoted so that no stone should be left un-turned to serve the people besides elimination of criminals. He further said that all police stations have been digitalized to change the Thana culture and CCTV cameras have been installed in front desk, lock ups, SHO offices whereas these cameras are monitored in DPO, RPO and Central Police Office. He said that Punjab Police had enhanced its efficiency and performance with the establishment of different specialized forces like SPU, CTD, Anti-Riot, Dolphin and Peru by which Police are countering the challenges in a better way. He further said that to deal with stress management issues, the strength of psychologists in the department are being increased whereas there is a strict internal accountability system for punishment and reward of Punjab Police officers and officials. These views were expressed by him when he was discussing and responding to queries of officers of 42nd special training programme at the Central Police Office. DIG trading Suleman Sultan Rana and AIG operations Imran Kishwar were present at this occasion. The trainee officers of civil services academy Lahore were briefed about the operational modes and modern projects of Punjab Police whereas officers also asked questions about public problems and challenges faced by Punjab Police. Addl IG told them that integrated command and control system of safe city Lahore have also been replicated in other districts of the province and monitoring and surveillance system are being supported by this system. He further added that fast actions are under way in accordance with the National Action Plan in all districts whereas timely actions by CTD have considerably reduced the terrorist attacks in the province. He further said that to address the issue of delay in registration of FIR, SP Complaints have been appointed in all districts who are ensuring quick actions over the complaints of the citizens whereas 8787 complaint centre and open courts are being regularly held to address issues of the citizens and their objective is to end the problems of citizens without any delay. In the end of the visit, memorial souvenirs were exchanged between Addl IG operations Inam Ghani and the leadership of the delegation.
