Wahaj Ali on his career-best in the popular drama of the season — ‘Ehd-e-Wafa’

Published on: December 9, 2019 11:51 PM

Wahaj Ali feels like he has been assembled in the exact proportion of quality that fits perfectly on the television screen and adjusts to every role he plays.

He stepped into the Pakistani television industry in the year 2015 and since then, there has been no looking back for him.

From ‘Gila’, ‘Hari Hari Churiyan’, ‘Mah-e-Tamaam’, ‘Haiwaan’, ‘Dil-e-Bereham’, ‘Bharam’ to ‘Ehd-e-Wafa’, Wahaj Ali’s acting prowess has stunned us all in every way.

His recent project ‘Ehd-e-Wafa’ that has been a fan favourite ever since it has aired can be considered as the true benchmark of his work until now.

The drama is a story about 4 friends who come together in an army boarding school and start on a journey of love, friendship and face hardships along the way. The drama has a stellar cast of Wahaj Ali playing Shariq, Ahad Raza Mir essaying the role of Saad, Ahmed Ali Akbar playing Sheharyar, and Osman Khalid Butt playing Shah Zain.

In spite of having a stellar cast of highly acclaimed actors in the drama, Wahaj Ali is outshining everyone and has become the most talked-about character of the drama. It is hard to believe the kind of love Wahaj Ali started receiving when Ehd-e-Wafa gave him less to no screen time in a few episodes. Social media was outraged with tweets and comments demanding his appearance.

His role in Ehd-e-Wafa has garnered such appreciation because Shariq’s character is very variable as compared to the rest. It is built along the lines of someone who is sensible, loving, and is full of life but has always set his priorities straight, he has a goal to achieve and he has set himself on its path. His character shows complex characteristics and immense emotions that Wahaj Ali is nailing in all the scenes.

He may be one of the friends in the group but his presence in the drama always overpowers the rest and he easily manages to become the one in the group loved by all. From bunking college, getting caught and receiving punishments, Wahaj Ali’s acting as a college student was downright amazing.

The drama takes off in a different path when college ends and all the four friends go their separate ways. This turn in the drama introduces us to a more responsible Shariq who steps into the hardships of real life. Needless to say, Wahaj Ali once again makes this transition in the most believable manner, and we can see the character development through his acting.

Wahaj Ali has magic when it comes to acting. He may be in the industry as a newcomer, but he has already made a statement in the industry with his acting prodigy.

What sets him apart from the rest of the actors in the industry is that he doesn’t stick to one single character. He walks out of his comfort zone and then displays a high level of acting skill as if the character was simply tailor-made for him. His confidence in taking challenging roles and then out stunning everyone with effortless performance is a reminder that Wahaj Ali is here to take over the industry like a storm.

Acting as Maan in ‘Haiwaan’ to working as Shariq in ‘Ehd-e-Wafa’, Ali is unstoppable on the ladder of success. He is once again to set to win our hearts in the upcoming drama ‘Bikhrey Moti’.
