ISLAMABAD: Despite containers placed on roads, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and Awami Muslim League (AML) workers marched towards Lal Haveli for a political rally on Friday. Sheikh Rasheed asked Imran Khan to reach Lal Haveli and attend the rally by helicopter or any other means. The containers were placed by Rawalpindi administration to stop people from reaching Lal Haveli to attend an AML rally. Police and FC surrounded the residences of PTI chairman Imran Khan in Islamabad and AML chief Sheikh Rasheed in Rawalpindi. All entry and exit points of Bani Gala – the residence of the PTI chief – were blocked by security forces and put road outside Bani Gala were also blocked. PTI’s youth convention in Islamabad was stormed by Islamabad police and several party activists were arrested.
