Land grabbing case against Pak-Saudi Bank chief ‘unfounded’

Published on: December 3, 2016 4:35 AM

ISLAMABAD: The case registered against Kamalud Din, Chief Executive of Pak-Saudi Bank, for his alleged involvement in grabbing precious land in Tarnol, is unfounded and baseless.

Owners of the Toyota Rawal company injured his guard in gun firing with the connivance of the police and got the registered the case against Kamalud Din and his employees. The eye witnesses of the incident were not present on the scene.

Nexus of brother of a key bureaucrat of Prime Minister (PM) secretariat and SSP Sajid Kayani, which is involved in grabbing of land of innocent people of federal capital. Four kanals land of Kamal ud Din has surfaced.

Nadim Khalid and Javed Khalid, owners of Toyota Rawal Company (TRC) had occupied illegally the land of Kamalud Din who is working as the CE at the Pak-Saudi Bank. Kamalud Din filed applications at the police station Tarnol against the accused persons and informed the police that no one can occupy his land as the court has issued a stay order.

Despite this, the police led by Munir Jaffri, SHO Tarnol Police Station, not only facilitated the accused to occupy the land but also enacted a drama that one security guard of Toyota Rawal Company had been fired upon. The police recorded the statement of the injured security guard at 4.10 p.m and registered the case at 4.50 at the police station which is at a distance of half an hour from the incident venue.

In the preliminary investigation, the police claimed to have taken into custody the gun and the empty cartridge but later the gun and empty cartridge were omitted in the investigation deliberately. Smelling police partiality, Kamalud Din got the investigation changed.

As soon as the investigation was started, the investigation officer inspector Muhammad Yusuf, got the mobile phone locations of the witnesses checked.

The checking revealed that the mobile phone of a witness Farooq was lying in Sangrial village, 10 kilometres away from the scene at the time the incident took place. The mobile phone of the second witness, Khuda Bakhsh, was found lying in Sangjani at the time the incident of firing had occurred.

The investigation officer summoned the witnesses but the latter started giving lame excuses rather than appearing before him.

It has come to light now that one witness, Muhammad Farooq, has resigned from his job in Toyota Rawal and has refused to record false evidence.

The owners of Toyota Rawal Company have got the matter investigated again through former SSP Sajid Kayani and inspector Muhammad Yusuf who is known to be an honest and upright man, has been excluded from the investigation.

Well placed sources told Daily Times that te brother of a bureaucrat from the Prime Minister’s Secretariat is close friend of the owners of Toyota Rawal Company and he is often seen with them in parties.

SSP Sajid Kayani, facilitated the owners of Toyota Rawal Company, in occupying the land illegally due to the influence of the brother of the powerful bureaucrat. Because of this the investigation has also been changed now. Sources said Kamal ud Din has stated the entire story of tyranny and injustice in the letter sent by him to interior minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan.

A senior police official told Daily Times that it is the fact the land in question is owned by Kamal-ud-Din , but the land grabbers including Arshad alias Achi had sold this land to Toyota Rawal Motors Company through fraud. He said that now the investigation of the case is with CIA.
