MEXICO CITY: Mexican senators voiced insults as they battered an effigy of United States (US) President-elect Donald Trump in an online video that went viral. Male and female senators in evening dress were taking turns at swinging a club at the doll with a cheerful trumpet tune being played in the background. The large effigy was hung by the neck at a Christmas party for lawmakers. One of the senators finally broke the effigy’s legs, spilling out its candy. The Mexicans have concerns over the Trump’s protectionist stance on trade with their country as the Republican billionaire launched his White House quest by denouncing Mexican immigrants as ‘rapists and drug traffickers’ and even promised to build a wall on the southern US border. “I ask you to be united in sending our greetings to Donald,” Senator Miguel Angel Barbosa told participants of the event.
