Activist and youngest Nobel Prize laureate Malala Yousafzai on Thursday attended former United States first lady Michelle Obama’s book launch of Becoming in London and met with singer and songwriter Adele.
Not only did Malala Yousafzai got to meet Michelle Obama and Adele but she could also be seen hanging out with comedian and writer Stephen Colbert and drag queen RuPaul.
The 21-year-old took to social media to share pictures of her meeting.
“My friend and I enjoyed hearing Michelle Obama talk about her book Becoming in London. I am grateful she continues to advocate for girls’ education and opportunities for young women,” Yousafzai Tweeted.
She added, “I also saw some old friends (Stephen Colbert) and made a few new ones (Rupaul and Adele).”
Becoming is America’s first black first lady second book in which she goes beyond politics, digging deep into some personal issues from a miscarriage to using in-vitro fertilisation to conceive her daughters to marriage counselling.
