The Speaker National Assembly Asad Qaiser on Thursday said the recent tension between Pakistan and India is the cheap step of Indian Prime Minister Modi to hijack the Indian general elections while the response of Pakistani political leadership was a model of restraint and patience and the whole parliament remain united during this time. The ever decaying situation in Indian Occupied Kashmir (IoK) must not be observed just in the context of terrorism because it is an issue of humanitarian values and India is bent upon committing atrocities against Kashmiris in IoK as even the United Nations Council on Human Rights concedes these atrocities as the breach of basic human rights. The resolution of Kashmir issue is the key to peace in Sub Continent, the world community cannot avoid this issue as all world community needs to make serious efforts for resolving it. He expressed these views during his meeting with the Ambassador of Argentina Ivan Ivanissevich who called on him in the Parliament House on Thursday. He also felt gratitude for having Inter-Parliamentary Friendship Group in National Assembly of Pakistan and hope that this forum will provide opportunity for both nations to enhance friendly relations. He said that Argentina always regards high its relations with Pakistan and wished to enhance these relations on the basis of trade, economy and social cooperation. He stressed the need to resolve all outstanding issues with dialogue. The Speaker added that India will continue to face the anger of masses if they continues to damage the honor of IoK women and continues to destroy the life, belongings and integrity of common Kashmiris. He mentioned that opening of Kartarpur Corridor and releasing the Indian pilot are obvious steps from Pakistani side to maintain peace in the region. He also termed the Kartapur Corridor as the corridor of peace in the region. He mentioned the steps taken by Pakistani government to culminate terrorism and sustaining peace whereas Pakistan paid a lot of sacrifices in the war against terrorism. The Speaker said that Pakistan and Argentina have always been enjoying close relations which Pakistan always regards high and he wished to enhance these relations by parliamentary diplomacy and economic cooperation. He also stressed the need to have inter-parliamentary relationship between both nations because Parliaments can make these relations more solid and sustained. While stressing the need to increase the trade volume between both nations, he said that there is an opportunity for both the nations to enhance economic cooperation.
