Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari accompanied by Sanam Bhutto, the youngest daughter of Shaheed Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto, visited a church here on Friday and cut a cake to mark Christmas celebrations.” While talking to the media, Bilawal said: “We are not scared of ECL and notices. We are not those who run away but we are those who give blood.” He said that the joint investigation team report in money laundering case was false. “The report is a pack of lies and its purpose is political and we will defeat this conspiracy,” he said, adding his father was put behind bars for 11 years but even then they (PPP) did not run away. He added, “If Asif Ali Zardari is arrested then we will take legal course. The PPP chairman said that his party would support parliament to amend NAB laws. He said that accountability must be across the board. “National Reconciliation Order is for dictators, PTI leader Jahangir Tareen, PM’s sister Aleema Khan and PCO judges but vendetta is only for opponents.” “We neither want a NRO nor will seek it… we will take up issues inside and outside parliament and launch a struggle for democracy and people.” Criticizing the PTI government, he said that the country had been sunken into the tsunami of price hike. Bilawal said no forward block would take place in PPP, adding such blocks were only present in the minds of PPP’s opponents. In a jibe, he said that “puppet government intends to encroach upon 18th Amendment and resources of the provinces. He said it was an old thought to establish one-unit in the country. “We are being pressurized for compromise but I cannot commit treachery with the graves and vision of martyred Bhutto leaders.” Bilawal said that under the present circumstances, the Centre was being made weak. “We have full confidence in Syed Murad Ali Shah who is the finest chief minister.” Later, he said that the PPP had always been striving for religious harmony. Bilawal and Sanam Bhutto were presented traditional gifts of Sindhi Ajrak by the Christian community on their arrival at the church. President, PPP Sindh, Nisar Ahmed Khuhro, MNA Khurshid Junejo, Lal Chand Akrani and others were also present on the occasion.
