Sir: According to article 25-A of constitution, a child aged five to 16 should get obligatory and compulsory education freely in governmental educational institutes. But in Turbat, the situation of education is reverse. I think this said article is not followed strictly. Children are forced to left or compelled for no reasons, in result, child labour is increasing. In primary section, per month school fee is Rs 100, after primary, school is higher than Rs 100. School children of forced to pay Rs 50 or more for photocopies of question papers. Examination fee is also increased to Rs 1700 per student. Admission fee of in colleges are increased to Rs 3000 which is unfair and difficult to pay by a poor family. This expensive education is decreasing literacy rate of Pakistan because poor. The Prime Minister is requested to stop expensive education providing and should provide education like what the constitution says. ADNAN MAQSOOD Turbat Published in Daily Times, November 20th 2018.
