We are just five days away from the biggest fight in UFC history as Lighweight Champion Khabib Nurmagomedov and former 2-division champion Conor McGregor ready themselves to ‘maul’ one another. The two have longed for a dance inside the octagon, and when they do so on October 6, the world will be watching. What adds fuel to the fire is that this is not just another title fight, but a fight for the ages. It is as personal as it gets. Nurmagomedov has said it loud and clear, he is going to put a bad beating on the former champion and that’s that. “I want to make him tired. Punish him. I want to make him pay for everything he has said and done. I will smash him, little bit teach him. I want to talk to him while I smash him,” the Eagle said talking to Ariel Helwani. McGregor, pretty much had the same response. “He’s been cracked a little bit but not by a sniper riffle. I hope he absorbs it and then I’m going to maul him. And then let’s see who’s having a conversation in there. Let’s see who’s doing the talking.” Also read: 5 reasons why Khabib beats McGregor Stylistically, there is no better fight out there. One is a strangling grappler, who slowly breaks you, while other is a ferocious striker, who finishes you faster than morning breakfast. What makes it more exciting is how similar they both are in different ways. Both fight at their own pace. Both are extremely confident in their abilities. Both have sky-rocketing popularity. Both are the best at what they do, and both are the same age. Moreover, both like to pep-talk during fights too. So, it would be exciting to see how the two fair against each other.
