Sir: The Sibi-Sukkur highway is indispensable trade route of Balochistan. It connects the developed cities of Balochistan and Sindh. On a daily basis, scores of transport vehicles pass through this road. It is quite unfortunate to share that the entire road is dilapidated. Almost a decade has passed when this road was repaired. The long road is single way which results in several accidents with high number of casualties on almost daily basis. This road is 237 km long with two toll plazas which collect thousands of rupees daily but their performance is zero. This highway is also vulnerable to dacoits but no highway police is seen patrolling on this highway. Keeping in view the woes of travellers, I profoundly request the National Highway Authority and other concerned authorities to please reconstruct this road. INZAMAM QASIM SILACHI Sibi
