
LAHORE: Pakistan cricket team bowling coach Azhar Mahmood on Tuesday said that he expects Muhammad Amir to perform better and produce significant output.
Speaking to the media, the bowling coach said that Amir resumed cricket after a 5-year ban and that he has been struggling with injuries recently, hence the desired output has not been achieved.

However, he added, the physios are working with the pacer and are helping him better his health and overall fitness and that the team expects him to lead from the front.

“There is no doubt that Amir is an extremely talented pacer, but he has to justify his talents too. We want him to produce significant results with the new ball,” Azhar said.
Moreover, Azhar added that the coaching staff is working closely with the 26-year-old to eliminate technical faults in his wrist positioning and are hopeful of achieving their goals within one-month.
