GUANGZHOU: The Pakistani citizens stranded on Guangzhou Airport because of the unavailability of their flight booked on Shaheen Air will be brought back today. Almost 300 passengers have been stranded on the Guangzhou airport since 29th July. The Shaheen Air flight was cancelled by the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) after both parties refused to reach an agreement over debt payments amounting to 1.5 billion PKR. As a result, all Shaheen Air flights were cancelled by the CAA, exept their Hajj flights. The Supreme Court took notice of the case yesterday and has ordered the owner of Shaheen Air to appear before the court on 7th Court. The regional director of Shaheen Air was present at court today and he said that all airlines except the Saudi Airlines had been cancelled at the Guangzhou Airport and that only Shaheen Air has a flight from Guangzhou to Lahore. Also Read: CJP issues notice to private airline over mismanagement The Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) dismissed the response of the official and ordered that all passengers be brought back today. The CAA has given permission to Shaheen Air to bring back the passengers. The passengers will be back tonight.
