ISLAMABAD: Chairman Pakistan Tehreek i Insaf (PTI) and future Prime Minister Imran Khan has announced that he will take the Prime Minister oath in a public gathering.
Imran Khan’s aide Naeem ul Haque said in a tweet that Imran Khan has expressed the desire to take oath in a public place and not the President House. The PTI leader also asserted in his tweet that D-Chowk in Islamabad might be the right place to do so, considering the party’s historical association with D-chowk with regard to their 126 day long dharna staged there.
IK would prefer a People’s ceremony of oath taking where thousands can watch him take the oath as PM of Pakistan. Perhaps D Chowk area may be the right place to do it. Let’s hope so. Will keep on updating on this.
