KARACHI: International cricket returns to Karachi as Pakistan prepare to face visitors West Indies in a three-match T20I series, the first match of which will be played later in the evening.
West Indies are the first international team to visit Karachi since the attack on Sri Lankan cricket team in 2009.
According to reports, Pakistan would leave Ahmed Shehzad out and start with Babar Azam and Fakhar Zaman in the batting department, while PSL breakouts stars Hussain Talat and Asif Ali are likely to debut.
On the other hand, the Windies also has raw talent at its disposal as the team is likely to place two debutants in the lineup.
Speaking to the media, Pakistan captain Sarfaraz Ahmed said that the team is seeking a clean sweep against the Windies as a different result would take Pakistan one place down.
The match will start at 8pm at Karachi’s National Stadium.
