MARDAN: Prime accused in Mashal Khan murder case has been sent into police custody for a 14-day judicial remand on Monday. Senior Civil Judge Asim Riaz headed the court proceedings and ordered a 14-day judicial remand of Arif, who was arrested last week. Arif Khan was arrested from Mardan after he came back from a ‘foreign country’ on March 8. The arrest was made from Mardan’s Ring Road Chamkar area by a special operations team of the police. In a video that surfaced after Mardan university student Mashal Khan’s lynching last April, Arif Khan, who was also a councillor from Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), was seen boasting about his involvement in the murder.
