ISLAMABAD: First Lady Begum Mehmooda Mamnoon Hussain on Thursday said that Pakistan had changed a lot and women were excelling in every walk of life. She was addressing a function held in connection with the International Women’s Day under the theme Press For Progress at the Pakistan Red Crescent (PRC) Society National Headquarters. The First Lady emphasised the need for social awakening at all levels to safeguard women rights. She lauded the services of women working in different walks of life bringing laurels for the country. She assured the Red Crescent Women Forum of her full support. Speaking on the occasion, PRC Chairman Dr Saeed Elahi said the Women Forum addresses the specific needs of Pakistani women and girls during natural and man-made disasters.
