ISLAMABAD: Nisar Ali will lead Pakistan in the 2018 ODI World Cup Cricket of the Blind to be staged in Pakistan and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) from Jan 7 to 21, it was announced on Tuesday. The Pakistan Blind Cricket Council (PBCC) named an 18-member squad for the World Cup. Amir Ishfaq will be the team’s vice-captain at the mega event. The squad was announced by PBCC selection committee headed by Syed Mohammad Salman Tariq with Masood Jan and Ibrar Shah as its members. The players were selected for the World Cup on the basis of their performance and physical fitness in recent national blind events and training camps organised in Faisalabad and Okara. The officials to accompany the team include Abdul Razzaq (coach), Masood Jan (batting coach), Tahir Mahmood Butt (trainer) and Asif Azeem (media manager).
