An 18-year-old labourer lost his life after the roof of a room collapsed due to rains at a factory on Jaranwala Road. Rescue 1122 spokesman said that the control room received an emergency call reporting the collapse of a building roof near Lahore Sweets on Jaranwala Road. The rescuers rushed to the spot and immediately launched a rescue operation. Initial reports indicated that the incident occurred inside Fatima Dyeing Factory where the worn-out roof of a room, comprising T-Rs and girders, caved in due to persistent rainfall. As a result, an 18-year-old labourer identified as Waleed, son of Muhammad Umar, was trapped beneath the debris and died before getting any medical assistance.
