Israeli strikes kill six more in Gaza despite ceasefire

Published on: July 13, 2026 12:08 PM

Israeli attacks on Gaza kill six people despite ‘ceasefire’

At least six Palestinians, including a nine-year-old girl, were killed in fresh Israeli military strikes in Gaza, according to Arab media reports, as allegations of ceasefire violations continue to fuel concerns over the fragile truce.

The latest attacks reportedly targeted areas in Gaza, leaving several other people injured. Medical teams and emergency workers responded to the affected locations, while hospitals continued treating the wounded amid already strained healthcare conditions.

Following the airstrike, the Israeli military reportedly issued new evacuation orders for residents in the Sabra area of Gaza, instructing civilians to leave the neighbourhood due to ongoing military operations. The evacuation notices have added to the uncertainty facing thousands of displaced families, many of whom have been forced to relocate multiple times since the conflict began.

The latest incident comes a day after another reported strike near the Nuseirat refugee camp, where a drone attack targeted a vehicle. Separate reports also said Israeli forces opened fire in Khan Younis, killing two Palestinians and injuring several others.

The continued violence has raised fresh concerns over the implementation of the ceasefire, with repeated reports of military operations despite diplomatic efforts aimed at reducing hostilities. Humanitarian organisations have warned that renewed clashes could further worsen conditions for civilians, many of whom continue to face shortages of food, clean water, medical supplies and shelter.

The conflict has displaced large numbers of residents across the Gaza Strip, while aid agencies continue to call for unrestricted humanitarian access and stronger protection for civilians. International mediators have repeatedly urged all parties to uphold ceasefire commitments and avoid actions that could trigger further escalation.

The Israeli military has maintained that its operations target militant infrastructure and security threats. However, Palestinian officials and humanitarian organisations continue to report civilian casualties from ongoing strikes.

Diplomatic efforts to preserve the ceasefire remain ongoing, but the latest incidents underscore the challenges facing negotiators as violence persists despite international calls for restraint and a lasting peaceful resolution to the conflict.
