A growing Indian online youth movement has alleged that its social media accounts were suspended or compromised amid increasing political tensions and criticism of the government.

The group, known as “Cockroach Janta Party,” claimed that all of its social media accounts had been taken down after it rapidly gained popularity among young users in recent weeks. The movement had attracted attention online for its criticism of government policies and commentary on issues related to education and youth concerns.
According to the organisation’s founder, Abhijit Dupake, the group lost access to its official digital platforms shortly after launching campaigns demanding the resignation of India’s education minister. He also alleged that his personal Instagram account had been hacked.

Dupake further claimed that he had received death threats linked to the online campaign, raising concerns among supporters about digital safety and freedom of expression on social media platforms.
The movement emerged following public debate surrounding controversial remarks attributed to senior Indian figures about youth and employment issues. Within days, the online campaign reportedly gained millions of followers and became widely discussed across Indian social media.
Supporters of the movement argue that it reflects frustration among younger citizens over economic pressures, education policies, and political discourse. Critics, however, have questioned the tone and style of some online activism associated with the campaign.
Neither the Bharatiya Janata Party nor Indian authorities have officially responded to the allegations regarding the closure of accounts or claims of hacking and intimidation. Social media platforms involved have also not publicly commented on the issue.
