Nationwide celebrations honor Marka-e-Haq historic victory

Published on: May 10, 2026 12:29 PM

Massive celebrations erupted across Pakistan as citizens marked the anniversary of Marka-e-Haq, commemorating what many described as a historic victory achieved after India imposed war on Pakistan in May 2025. From Karachi to Khyber and from Kashmir to Gwadar, people participated in rallies, seminars, candlelight vigils and public gatherings to honour the armed forces. Moreover, ceremonies held across Punjab, Sindh, Balochistan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Gilgit-Baltistan and Azad Kashmir reflected strong national unity and public support for the country’s defence institutions.

People across the country praised the success of Operation Bunyanum Marsoos, which was launched in response to what officials described as an unprovoked attack by India. Citizens and community leaders called Marka-e-Haq a symbol of national determination, military strength and strategic maturity that boosted confidence throughout the country. Furthermore, participants in different cities highlighted Pakistan’s image as a responsible and stable regional power capable of defending its sovereignty against external aggression.

Participants enthusiastically raised patriotic slogans while expressing appreciation for the sacrifices made by soldiers and martyrs.

A colourful musical concert and fireworks display also took place at Allama Iqbal Park in Nankana Sahib, where families, women and young people gathered to celebrate the anniversary with great excitement and national spirit. In Khushab, Deputy Commissioner Dr Jahanzeb Hussain and DPO Dr Amara Shirazi attended a ceremony at Kashmir Park Joharabad, where special prayers were offered for Pakistan’s security and armed forces.
