Fashion enthusiasts quickly noticed the detail in a scene from the sequel, where Streep is seen holding Warp’s Accordion handbag in an oxblood shade, a deep maroon tone that complements her character’s signature polished wardrobe. The brand later shared a clip from the film on social media, celebrating the appearance of its design in the much-anticipated movie.

The recognition marks another milestone for the Lahore-based contemporary fashion label, which has been steadily building a presence beyond Pakistan. Warp previously attracted attention when Anne Hathaway, Streep’s co-star in the film, was seen carrying the brand’s black Tobla bag during promotional appearances for the movie. Hathaway paired the accessory with a black designer dress while attending events in Mexico City.
Released on May 1, The Devil Wears Prada 2 reunites Streep and Hathaway nearly two decades after the original 2006 film became a pop culture phenomenon. The sequel reportedly explores the evolution of fashion journalism, media disruption, and changing audience trends in the digital era.
Warp has increasingly appeared on international celebrities in recent months. Rapper Doja Cat, actor Lupita Nyong’o, and performer Nava Mau have all been photographed carrying the brand’s bags at public appearances and entertainment events.
The brand also enjoys popularity within Pakistan, with local celebrities including Mawra Hocane, Ayeza Khan, and Meesha Shafi seen carrying its designs.
Warp is among several Pakistani fashion brands gaining visibility globally. Clothing label Rastah has also been worn by international celebrities including Justin Bieber, Timothée Chalamet, Zayn Malik, and Diljit Dosanjh.
