Israeli airstrikes in southern Lebanon killed nine people on Wednesday, according to Lebanese state media. The attacks targeted multiple areas, including residential and civilian locations in the south. Rescue teams recovered bodies and treated wounded survivors amid ongoing bombardment.
The Lebanese National News Agency reported five deaths in Ansariyeh and additional casualties in other strikes. Civil defence teams also responded to an airstrike on the Al-Khodra complex in Qadmous. Another attack hit a vehicle in the Saadiyat area of Mount Lebanon.

The strikes come amid continued escalation between Israel and Hezbollah-linked areas in southern Lebanon. Israel has intensified its air and ground operations in recent months. The violence has caused mass displacement and severe damage to infrastructure.
Diplomatic efforts have also begun, with the United States hosting trilateral talks involving Israel and Lebanon. The meeting marked the first direct diplomatic engagement between the two sides in over three decades. Officials discussed possible steps toward negotiations and reduced tensions.

Pakistan raised concerns over the situation at the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation meeting at the United Nations. Islamabad called for an immediate ceasefire and humanitarian access for affected civilians. Officials warned that the humanitarian crisis in Lebanon is rapidly worsening.
