The reported film will be directed by Jasmeet K Reen, known for her work on Darlings. Industry insiders suggest that Sara Arjun may undergo a significant transformation to portray Madhubala, including look tests, costume design preparations, and dialect training to authentically represent the late actress’s elegance and screen presence.
Madhubala, famously called the “Venus of Indian Cinema,” starred in over 70 films during her career in the 1950s and 1960s. Her life story, including her celebrated acting legacy and personal struggles, has long been considered a strong subject for a cinematic adaptation.
Sara Arjun, who began her career as a child artist, has steadily risen in prominence in recent years. She gained early recognition through television commercials and later appeared in films at a young age, earning critical appreciation for her performances.
Her recent work in major film projects has further increased speculation about her casting in high-profile productions. If confirmed, the role would mark one of the most significant milestones in her career so far.
