The controversy surrounds the pan-India Kannada film KD: The Devil, featuring Nora Fatehi. During the earlier hearing, director Prem and lyricist Raqueeb Alam also appeared before the commission to address allegations of extreme vulgarity in the song. Representatives from KVN Productions, Gautam K M and Suprith, were present as well.
Chairperson Rahatkar stated that the song’s lyrics violated the dignity of women and dismissed claims that the creators were unaware of the content’s impact. The creators submitted a written apology and pledged to work toward women’s empowerment over the next three months. They are also required to submit a detailed report to the commission after completing this period of social work.
The song faced widespread backlash due to its suggestive lyrics and bold choreography. Critics highlighted a graphic double entendre in the opening verse, which initially seemed sexual but later referenced an alcohol bottle. Despite this, the lyrics and choreography were deemed objectifying.
