According to the new rates, a car will now pay Rs 100 on national highways, a wagon Rs 200, and a bus Rs 300. Three-axle trucks will be charged Rs 350, while larger trucks face Rs 700. Specific motorway routes have separate toll structures due to higher traffic and operational costs.

Heavy trucks face charges ranging from Rs 3,300 to Rs 6,400 depending on the route. On the Islamabad–Peshawar motorway, cars will pay Rs 700, 12-seater wagons Rs 1,050, and buses Rs 2,050. Similarly, the M-4 motorway sees cars charged Rs 1,300, wagons Rs 1,950, and mini-buses Rs 2,850, while large buses and trucks will pay Rs 3,950 and Rs 6,400. On the M-5 motorway, tolls range from Rs 1,500 for cars to Rs 7,150 for large trucks. The E-35 highway will collect Rs 350 from cars, Rs 550 from wagons, Rs 750 from mini-buses, and Rs 1,100 from buses.

Transporters have warned that these increases may force them to raise fares by up to 65%, and some are even considering protest measures such as road blockages. Officials, however, maintain that the adjustments are necessary to cover maintenance costs and improve highway infrastructure.
