
Four policemen were injured in an explosion on Wednesday in Serai Naurang town, Lakki Marwat district, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. The blast targeted a police patrol near a fruit and vegetable market, damaging their vehicle. The attack raises security concerns in the region, affecting law enforcement and local residents.
District police spokesperson Qudratullah Khan said the injured officers include Head Constable Waheedullah and Constables Syed Anwar, Hadiullah, and Ikramullah. The van the police party was patrolling in was also damaged.

While authorities have not confirmed the explosion’s exact nature, local residents suggest it involved an explosive device attached to a motorcycle. Nearby shops and vehicles sustained damage, indicating the blast’s intensity and risk to civilians.
This attack comes roughly two weeks after a deadly assault in Lakki Marwat’s Bettani subdivision, which killed seven policemen, including a station officer. Police had reported that an improvised explosive device was used to target a patrol from Shadikhel police station.
