
QUETTA: Balochistan Chief Minister Sarfraz Bugti on Friday urged Afghan nationals to refrain from violence in Pakistan, saying the country has extended decades of support to Afghanistan but expects a responsible response in return.

Addressing a public gathering of the Pakistan Peoples Party in Pishin, Bugti described Afghanistan as a brotherly neighbouring country and highlighted Pakistan’s role in hosting and assisting Afghan citizens over the past four decades. However, he expressed concern over security challenges, calling for cooperation to ensure peace.
He emphasized that under the leadership of Asim Munir, no one would be allowed to harm Pakistan’s stability. The chief minister reiterated that maintaining law and order remains a top priority for the provincial government.
Bugti also condemned recent violence in the Middle East, referring to Israeli actions in Iran, and stressed that Pakistan’s national interest would always come first.
During his address, he welcomed the declaration of Pishin as a division, calling it a significant step toward administrative improvement and development in the region. He assured residents that the government would work to address local needs and enhance public services.
Highlighting his administration’s agenda, Bugti said the people of Balochistan aspire to peace, progress, and prosperity. He dismissed concerns raised by critics and pledged to continue working across the province to improve education, healthcare, and infrastructure.

The chief minister reaffirmed his commitment to long-term stability, stating that development and peace go hand in hand and are essential for the future of Balochistan. He added that the government would remain focused on delivering tangible results for the people.
