Addressing the gathering, Mohsin Naqvi said that due to the prevailing regional situation, certain adjustments had been made to the tournament while keeping national interests in mind. He apologized to cricket fans for any inconvenience caused, emphasizing that the broader interest of the country must take priority. “I sincerely apologize to fans, but national interest comes first. I believe today’s sacrifice will bring ease in the future,” he said.

He further highlighted that the Pakistan Super League has evolved into a leading international cricket brand and reaffirmed the board’s commitment to taking it to greater heights.

The ceremony was attended by franchise owners, team captains, head coaches, and players from the national side, along with several international cricketers, including Sikandar Raza, Ravi Bopara, Tabraiz Shamsi, and Tim Paine.
