Zardari praises King Charles’ heartfelt Pakistan Day greetings

ISLAMABAD: President Asif Ali Zardari welcomed a Pakistan Day message from King Charles III, expressing appreciation for the UK monarch’s thoughtful words. In a post on X, Zardari described the message as reflecting a bond “beyond diplomacy, rooted in people, culture, and a shared future.”

King Charles III, along with Queen Camilla, extended warm congratulations to Zardari and the people of Pakistan. He emphasized national unity, progress, and the importance of celebrating Pakistan Day as a symbol of shared values and mutual respect.

The monarch highlighted the longstanding friendship between the UK and Pakistan, noting vibrant links within the British Pakistani community. He praised cultural, familial, and enterprise ties, stressing that these connections strengthen bilateral relations and enrich both nations.

King Charles also pointed to climate cooperation, recognizing Pakistan’s natural heritage and ongoing UK-Pakistan collaboration on flood preparedness, water management, and clean energy initiatives. He underscored global responsibility and sustainability as priorities for future joint efforts.

Concluding his message, the King extended best wishes to all Pakistanis, at home and abroad, for a peaceful and prosperous year. The message reinforces cultural, diplomatic, and environmental cooperation as key pillars of UK-Pakistan relations.
