CENTCOM officials stated that over 50 Iranian naval vessels were either destroyed or severely damaged during the strikes. The campaign has involved a wide range of strategic and tactical platforms, including bombers such as the B-1 Lancer, B-2 Spirit, and B-52 Stratofortress, alongside fighter aircraft including the F-15 Eagle, F-16 Fighting Falcon, F/A-18 Super Hornet, F-22 Raptor, and F-35 Lightning II.
Additional assets deployed include the A-10 Thunderbolt II, EA-18G Growler, and M142 HIMARS for precision strikes. For surveillance and reconnaissance, the US used MQ-9 Reaper drones and aircraft such as the U-2 Dragon Lady and RC-135 Rivet Joint, while maritime monitoring was carried out by the P-8 Poseidon.
CENTCOM said the operations targeted critical Iranian military infrastructure, including command and control centres, Revolutionary Guard headquarters, intelligence facilities, air defence systems, ballistic missile sites, naval vessels and submarines, anti-ship missile positions, military communications systems, and facilities involved in ballistic missile and drone production.
The US military emphasized that strikes were carefully prioritised to minimise civilian harm while maximising disruption to Iran’s operational capabilities. CENTCOM officials described the campaign as a demonstration of the United States’ capacity to conduct integrated, multi-domain operations, combining air, land, sea, and unmanned systems.
