The final of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup will take place today as the India national cricket team and New Zealand national cricket team prepare for a thrilling battle with the prestigious trophy at stake. Both sides have performed consistently throughout the tournament and now stand just one victory away from lifting the coveted global title.

The highly anticipated contest will be played in Ahmedabad, where thousands of passionate fans are expected to fill the stadium. The final is scheduled to begin at 6:30pm local time, creating an electrifying atmosphere as cricket supporters across the world eagerly await the decisive showdown between the two top-performing teams.

Adding excitement to the grand occasion, internationally acclaimed singer Ricky Martin will entertain spectators during the pre-match ceremony. Organizers believe the special performance will energize the crowd and enhance the celebratory mood before the players step onto the field for the tournament’s most important clash.

Both teams have demonstrated impressive form during the competition. India suffered only one defeat earlier in the tournament, losing to the South Africa national cricket team. Meanwhile, New Zealand also experienced two losses, first against South Africa in the group stage and later against the England national cricket team during the Super 8 phase.

New Zealand secured their place in the final after a commanding nine-wicket victory over South Africa in the semifinal. In contrast, India advanced to the title clash after defeating England in a tense semifinal encounter, clinching a narrow but crucial seven-run win.

Historically, the rivalry between the two sides has been competitive in the shortest format. Out of 30 matches played between them, India has claimed victory in 18 encounters, while New Zealand has won 11 matches, with one game ending without a result.
