Pakistan security forces neutralised four India-backed militants in an intelligence-based operation in Dera Ismail Khan. The operation targeted members of the banned Fitna al Khwarij group. The action underscores ongoing efforts to eliminate foreign-sponsored terrorism in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
According to security sources, troops conducted the precision raid after receiving credible intelligence. Forces engaged militants at the identified hideout in Dera Ismail Khan district. After an intense exchange of fire, four militants were killed. Authorities recovered weapons and ammunition from the site.

Officials said the militants were involved in multiple terrorist activities in the region. The targeted operation aimed to dismantle a network plotting attacks. Security personnel acted swiftly to prevent further destabilisation. No casualties among security forces were reported during the raid.
Subsequently, forces launched sanitisation operations in surrounding areas. The objective is to trace and eliminate any remaining militants. Officials confirmed the crackdown forms part of wider counter-terror efforts. Operations will continue until the district is fully secured.

The campaign falls under the national counter-terror strategy “Azm-e-Istehkam,” endorsed by the Federal Apex Committee under the National Action Plan.
