Lahore’s administration has finalized a comprehensive Basant transport plan, offering free citywide travel to ensure smooth, safe movement while encouraging families and visitors to join celebrations without travel worries.
Moreover, authorities approved free rides on the Metrobus and Orange Line Metro Train, with Punjab Mass Transit Authority, Punjab Transport Company, and private riders jointly coordinating operations for uninterrupted festive mobility.

Under this plan, free services will run on 24 routes, as 228 feeder buses and 64 Metrobus vehicles operate daily, supported by additional buses sourced from government colleges and universities.
In addition, officials deployed 54 buses from colleges and 73 from universities, enabling nearly 516,000 people to access free daily transport, alongside 5,000 specially branded rickshaws offering complimentary rides.

Meanwhile, transport officials estimated that the Orange Line will serve around 250,000 passengers daily, while Metrobus routes, including Gajjumta to Shahdara, will accommodate nearly 87,000 commuters.
Alongside transport relief, the district administration lifted restrictions on ordering kites and strings from other cities, allowing registered traders to restock legally under QR-coded regulation systems.
