
The hit BBC reality series, The Traitors, is set to make its theatrical debut after dominating British television. Studio Lambert announced plans to adapt the popular show for the stage, promising a bold and surprising live performance.
Chief executive Stephen Lambert revealed that while the stage play will focus on a new story, it will be inspired by the original TV series’ concept of rooting out traitors among a group of faithful participants.

The theatrical adaptation is scheduled to premiere next year at a London venue, which has not yet been disclosed. Lambert described the project as an exciting next step for the franchise, highlighting its potential to thrill loyal fans in a live setting.
John Finnemore, known for writing Good Omens starring Michael Sheen and David Tennant, has been tapped to pen the stage version. Olivier Award-winning director Rob Hastie, deputy artistic director at London’s National Theatre, will helm the production.

The Traitors wrapped its fourth season last Friday, with comedian Alan Carr emerging as the winner. The series, hosted by Claudia Winkleman, has steadily grown in popularity, making this stage adaptation a highly anticipated event in London’s theatre scene.
