Disneyland’s viral Evil Queen performer steps away after eight years

Published on: January 13, 2026 4:03 PM

Sabrina Von B., the performer behind some of Disneyland’s most viral character moments, is officially moving on after eight years at the theme park. The singer and actress, who became widely known online for her sharp-witted exchanges with guests, confirmed her departure in an interview with PEOPLE, calling the experience “an honour.”

Von B. is best recognised for portraying the Evil Queen, a role she began at age 18 and performed through her mid-20s. Her interactions — often dry, sarcastic and irresistibly theatrical — turned her into an online sensation as park visitors regularly filmed their encounters. While many fans adored the character, few knew the face behind the crown until recently.

Reflecting on her time in the role, Von B. said she loved creating her own interpretation of a villain who was not prominently featured before her videos went viral. “I read a lot of comments about people saying they would’ve never loved this character, but now it is their favourite,” she said. She added that adding humour to a traditionally intimidating figure was especially meaningful.

Beyond the Evil Queen, Von B. also portrayed Maleficent, Agatha Harkness and Lady Tremaine. She noted that the job was far more physically demanding than many realised, particularly due to the California heat, elaborate costumes and the stamina required for long park shifts.

Online attention surged for her multiple times, especially in 2019 and again in 2021. During her employment, she avoided revealing her identity to preserve the “Disney magic,” only confirming her role publicly after her departure — an announcement that quickly racked up millions of views.

As she reflects on the memories she helped create for families, Von B. says she is ready for new challenges. She is currently preparing for upcoming projects and hopes to pursue theatre and touring opportunities, describing the next chapter as both exciting and daunting.
