During the meeting, it was decided that a dedicated ramp would be constructed at the Karkhano station to facilitate the extended BRT service. The ramp is estimated to cost around Rs500 million and is aimed at ensuring smooth integration of the new routes into the existing system.
Officials briefed the chief minister on infrastructure needs, fleet expansion and operational arrangements for the Jamrud and Bara routes. They informed the meeting that 12 new 12-metre-long buses would be procured to begin operations on the extended sections.
According to the plan, eight bus stops will be established along a five-kilometre stretch from Karkhano Market to Jamrud Bazaar. In addition, 10 bus stops will be set up over a seven-kilometre stretch from Pishtakhara to Bara Bazaar to serve commuters in the area.
