
Charlie Hunnam has been spotted back on set as production begins on the fourth season of Netflix’s hit anthology series Monster. The actor is currently filming new scenes as the series expands its focus on infamous historical figures.

The 45-year-old previously appeared in Season 3, where he portrayed notorious killer Ed Gein. In Season 4, Hunnam takes on another dark and complex role, further cementing his presence in the Ryan Murphy-produced franchise.

This time, Hunnam will portray Anthony Borden, the father of Lizzie Borden. The character plays a central role in the chilling true-crime narrative that will anchor the upcoming season.
Lizzie Borden, whose 1892 murder case remains one of the most infamous in American history, will be portrayed by Ella Beatty. Production for the new season is currently underway in Los Angeles.

Hunnam was photographed filming scenes on Thursday, December 18, as work continues on the series created by Ryan Murphy and Ian Brennan. Set photos suggest the season will once again embrace the dark tone that has defined the anthology.
Season 4 will feature several other notorious figures. Sarah Paulson has joined the cast and is set to portray serial killer Aileen Wuornos, marking another collaboration with Murphy.

Suzanna Son is also confirmed to appear in the season, though details surrounding her role remain undisclosed. She was previously seen filming scenes alongside Hunnam, fueling speculation about her character’s significance.
The ensemble cast includes several notable additions. Vicky Krieps will play Bridget Sullivan, the Borden family’s live-in maid, while Rebecca Hall is set to portray Lizzie’s stepmother, Abby Borden.
Billie Lourd will appear as Lizzie’s sister Emma Borden, with Jessica Barden cast as Lizzie’s friend Nance O’Neill. The season is shaping up to be one of the most star-studded entries in the series so far.
