Pakistan Kabaddi Federation Secretary Rana Sarwar said Chairman Chaudhry Shafay Hussain convened the emergency meeting to address the matter. He clarified that while 16 Pakistani players participated, it was not Pakistan’s national team, no official permission or NOC (No Objection Certificate) was obtained, and the federation had not been informed.
Sarwar described the incident as “unacceptable” and emphasized that playing for a foreign team and waving its flag would not be tolerated. He said the federation would investigate the player’s actions and take the “strictest action,” also targeting self-styled promoters who organized the event without proper authorization.
While club-level participation involving players from multiple countries is acceptable, Sarwar stressed that representing a foreign country under Pakistan’s name is “regrettable” and damages the nation’s reputation.
