Pakistan is set to experience widespread rain and snowfall until December 18, as changing weather patterns affect multiple regions, prompting authorities to issue safety advisories. Cloudy conditions and intermittent rainfall are expected to continue, especially in northern and upper parts of the country.
According to forecasts, Islamabad and surrounding areas will remain cloudy with occasional rain over the coming days, while Murree and the Galiyat region may see rain and snowfall. These conditions could disrupt daily routines and create travel difficulties in popular hill destinations.

Meanwhile, a system of western winds is expected to impact northern and northwestern regions from December 13 to 15, bringing rain and snowfall to upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Areas such as Kohistan and parts of Gilgit-Baltistan may experience heavy snowfall, increasing the risk of road blockages.

In Azad Jammu and Kashmir, rain is likely in plain areas, while moderate to heavy snowfall is expected in hilly and mountainous regions. Similarly, upper Gilgit-Baltistan and high-altitude areas may face intense snowfall, affecting road connectivity and normal activities.
Balochistan, including Quetta and Ziarat, is expected to receive light rain, with snowfall in higher elevations. In response, the National Disaster Management Authority has urged caution, warning of slippery roads and possible closures, while advising citizens to stay informed and avoid unnecessary travel.
