The tool preserves tone, emphasis, and rhythm, helping users follow conversations and identify speakers more naturally.
Users can activate Live Translate in the app to hear instant translations during conversations, lectures, or foreign media.

Currently, the feature works on Android in the United States, Mexico, and India, supporting over 70 languages.
Meanwhile, Google is adding advanced Gemini features to improve translation accuracy, especially for slang, idioms, and expressions.
These smarter translations are rolling out in the United States and India across Android, iOS, and the web.
Additionally, Google expanded language learning tools, added progress tracking, and enhanced feedback to better support daily practice.
