YouTuber Rajab Butt and TikToker Nadeem Naniwala returned to Islamabad late last night on a foreign flight. Their arrival drew significant attention due to multiple ongoing investigations. Both remained inside the airport for several hours before being allowed to leave. They exited under protective custody provided by their private guards, avoiding interaction with law enforcement officials.
Sources said Rajab Butt’s flight was expected at 11:15 PM. Despite the long delay at the airport, neither was arrested. Protective bail granted by the Islamabad High Court (IHC) prevented any detention. The bail ensured safe passage from the airport to their destinations. Officials confirmed that the court’s orders were strictly followed.
On Wednesday morning, IHC Justice Inam Amin Minhas heard a petition seeking protective bail for both individuals. Their lawyer informed the court about an additional case in Karachi. The petition requested 15-day protective bail for safe transit. Justice Minhas, however, granted 10-day transit protective bail. He instructed the petitioners to approach the relevant court within this period.
A day earlier, Justice Raja Inam Amin had issued clear directions preventing their arrest at Islamabad airport. The court allowed both to return safely and appear before the high court. The order ensured that neither would face immediate legal action upon arrival. It also emphasized the importance of protective bail for transit purposes.

Rajab Butt and Nadeem Naniwala had obtained protective bail proactively before traveling back to Pakistan. This enabled them to avoid arrest despite ongoing investigations. The court’s decision ensured their safe travel and compliance with legal procedures. Their lawyers confirmed that all formalities were completed before departure.
Both social media figures face multiple cases, including allegations related to a gaming app and cybercrime violations. These cases were registered by the National Cybercrime Investigation Agency in September. Authorities confirmed that investigations are still ongoing. The court’s order only provides temporary protection and does not end legal proceedings.
Officials said Rajab Butt and Nadeem Naniwala must appear before the concerned court within the 10-day period. Failure to comply could lead to cancellation of protective bail. Investigations are expected to continue, and both individuals are required to cooperate with authorities. Legal experts say the case highlights the growing scrutiny of social media influencers in Pakistan.
