Pakistani YouTuber Rajab Butt has been deported from the United Kingdom after British authorities cancelled his visa, according to reports.
He was put on a morning flight to Pakistan following his removal from the country. Officials said the British government revoked his visa after the Home Department issued a written decision informing him of the cancellation.
According to the Home Department, Butt did not disclose the cases registered against him in Pakistan at the time of his visa application. Once the authorities became aware of this, they arrested him, cancelled his visa and ordered his deportation.
Butt, who previously held a UK visa valid until 2027, was deported from England on a morning flight. Commenting on the development, he said he intends to challenge the Home Department’s decision and will pursue an appeal in London.
Butt has faced legal action in Pakistan over charges related to the promotion of betting apps, and later moved to the United Kingdom.
After securing protective bail from the Islamabad High Court (IHC), content creators Rajab Butt and Nadeem Mubarak, also known as Nani Wala, are scheduled to arrive in Pakistan to surrender to the authorities in ongoing legal cases.
