King Charles urges peace ahead royal celebrations

Published on: December 2, 2025 11:00 PM

King Charles III’s office has issued a public appeal for peace and generosity as the royal family prepares to celebrate Christmas this year, marking the first festive season without Prince Andrew and Fergie.

The King has long championed environmental and educational causes, continuing the vision he set as heir with The King’s Foundation, which has been active since 1976, promoting sustainability and cultural awareness.

The foundation manages six historic UK sites and offers education and training programs benefiting over 15,000 students annually, while extending its impact to 35 countries through sustainable community planning initiatives.

Ahead of the celebrations, the foundation emphasized its mission: creating harmonious communities with nature at the center and transforming lives through traditional skills and educational programs worldwide.

Since the charity depends on donations, the royal team urged the public to contribute, highlighting that consistent support helps expand programs and positively influence more lives globally.

During the festive season, the family is expected to gather at Sandringham Estate, including the King and Queen, Prince and Princess of Wales with children, Prince Edward, Duchess Sophie, Princess Anne, and Sir Timothy Laurence.
