
Security forces carried out a Bannu terrorist operation on November 24. They killed 22 militants from the India-backed group . Troops acted on intelligence reports and engaged the terrorists at their hideout. After a fierce firefight, all 22 militants were killed. A sanitization operation is ongoing to remove any remaining threats.
The operation is part of Pakistan’s ongoing counterterrorism campaign, “Azm-e-Istehkam.” ISPR said security forces and law enforcement agencies continue to eliminate foreign-supported terrorism nationwide. The campaign operates at full speed and targets extremist factions in multiple regions. Local communities actively support the security forces, strengthening these operations.

Last week, 17 terrorists, including three key commanders, were killed in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Police, CTD, and military forces conducted joint operations in Bannu and Lakki Marwat. Weapons and ammunition were recovered, delivering a major blow to local extremist groups. Community cooperation played a vital role in the success of these operations.
Separate operations in SheriKhel, Paka Pahar Khel, and Domail killed 16 militants and injured several others. Key commanders Niaz Ali (Akasha), Abdullah (Shapankoi), and Rasool (Aryana) were among the dead. An eight-hour operation in Domail involved police, CTD, and local peace committees. Large caches of weapons were seized, weakening extremist networks further.
