Sajjad Ali brings 90s music magic to Karachi

Karachi enjoyed a night full of nostalgia as legendary singer Sajjad Ali lit up the World Culture Festival at the Arts Council of Pakistan. Thousands of passionate fans arrived to watch his concert, with many left outside due to the venue reaching full capacity earlier than expected.

The moment Sajjad Ali stepped on stage, the crowd erupted with applause and excitement. He entertained the audience with evergreen hits like Har Zulm Tera Yaad Hai, Mahiwal, Ravi, Yaad To Aati Hogi, and Dheere Dheere Aa Badal, keeping listeners fully engaged throughout his performance.

Moreover, responding to loud cheers and requests, he sang fan-favourite upbeat numbers Chief Saab and Cinderella, instantly lifting the festive energy. The combination of classical charm and pop melodies reminded audiences why he remains one of the most loved voices in Pakistani music.

While addressing the crowd, Sajjad Ali expressed gratitude and pride, saying that Pakistan had given him immense respect and love. He added that true artists create trends instead of following them, and his musical journey has always reflected that belief with originality and confidence.

Sajjad Ali, who rose to fame in the 1980s, is widely praised for shaping Pakistan’s modern pop-classical sound. His music continues to connect generations, making him a cultural icon whose concerts still draw massive audiences.

The World Culture Festival will continue at the Arts Council of Pakistan in Karachi until December 7, offering more vibrant performances and cultural celebrations for citizens to enjoy.
