
JAMSHORO: A shocking betrayal of trust unfolded in Kotri, Jamshoro, when a man stole his friend’s sister’s dowry, police said on Friday. The accused, identified as Ali Waris, used a duplicate key to enter the home in Shedi Mohala and took jewellery and cash worth Rs 4 million that had been reserved for the dowry.
Police confirmed that Waris confessed to the crime, admitting he carried out the theft with the assistance of a rickshaw driver after succumbing to greed. Authorities arrested him within 24 hours of the incident, recovering the stolen valuables.

In a separate violent case, CCTV footage surfaced showing the murder of a youth in Gulshan-e-Iqbal 4, Karachi. The victim was first shot while riding his motorcycle on Abul Hassan Isphahani Road, then targeted repeatedly by armed men who arrived at the scene. Eyewitnesses reported that the perpetrators fled on a food delivery rider’s bike before boarding a car.
The police lodged a First Information Report (FIR) at Mubina Town Police Station based on a complaint filed by the victim’s father, who claimed the murder was the result of a personal enmity. Investigations into both incidents are ongoing.
